In line with true CDM principles, the construction industry has been getting the right information, to the right people at the right time.

As far back as summer 2006 the industry has been gearing up in anticipation of the new Regulations coming into force by running CDM 2007 training events all over the country. HSE has contributed to some of these by providing speakers and presentation material, but many have been run independently.

A diary of further events is planned once the Regulations come into force.

On 4 April 2007 HSE held its own launch event for key stakeholders at the London & Continental Railways (LCR) visitor centre, located at St Pancras station, London. Government and industry described how they had worked in partnership to develop the new regulations and how they would make sure that they would be used to improve the health and safety performance of the construction industry. Key speakers were:
