• Campaign is launched to combat accidents - 29 February 2008
  The Health and Safety Executive's Shattered Lives campaign aims to reduce the number of workplace slips, trips and falls. In Notts last year one person died and around 300 people were injured falling or slipping over at work.
• Man seriously hurt in roof fall - 28 February 2008
  A 34-year-old man suffered serious head injuries after falling from the roof of a storage building.
• Company fined after builder falls from rooftop - 20 February 2008
  A roofer suffered severe head injuries and multiple fractures after falling from the roof of a house.
• Worker hurt in 20ft plunge from tree - 15 February 2008
  A council worker plunged 20ft from a tree after losing his balance as he stretched to saw a branch.
• Man stuck in pit - 8 February 2008
  The man had reportedly fallen three to four foot in a pit and had got stuck between steel coils.
