Liaise closely with the investigating officer

As appropriate, from the beginning of the investigation:

• agree the nature of the science, technology and medical support required
• maintain a communication record
• retain all information relating to the incident and make it available to the investigating officer/disclosure officer on request
• ensure all evidence gathering is in accordance with the statutory provisions
