Working days lost
In 2008/09 between 183 000 and 1.1 million working days were lost due to breathing or lung problems, according to the LFS. This corresponds to an average number of days lost per case of between 5.5 and 28.6 compared with 20.8 for all self-reported work-related illness (95% CI: 18.8-22.8).
